This is a key role in an operations Tax team of one of the best-known Banking Groups in the world.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of the group you will have responsibility for providing UK and International tax support and planning. More specifically you will be involved in:
• Direct management of 2 more junior members of the team
• Partnering with VAT, Operational tax and Transfer Pricing teams on international and UK issues in the business including capital transactions
• Partnering with other Tax colleagues across the UK, Western Europe, the US, Africa and Asia ensuring that all strategies, initiatives and solutions from a Tax perspective are as effective as possible
• Supporting specific business-initiated projects within cross-functional work streams in response to business or external regulatory change.
The Person
You will be ideally ACA/CTA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification. Our client is happy consider Tax professionals coming straight from the Profession or at candidates who have an in house background already. Financial Services experience is not essential but you will need to have exposure to working with large complex international businesses or be coming from a large global listed organisation already.
The package
Up to £85,000 basic plus car allowance, bonus, pension and private healthcare.
