An opportunity has arisen within the International Assignment Services Practice of Deloitte's St Albans office for an Assistant Manager. Our International Assignment Services (IAS) team provide expert advice and support to our clients regarding the implications and planning involved with international assignments. Clients range from very large corporations through to smaller fast-growing businesses and wealthy individuals. The department consists of approximately 12 staff, but is part of a London business unit comprising approximately 30 people in total.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Advising on all tax related employer concerns
- Cross border and international employment structuring
- Tax equalisation policies
- Expatriate policies and appropriate methodologies to support these
- Expatriate tax returns
- International tax and social security planning
- Assignment cost analysis and benchmarking
- Tax efficient employment, compensation and termination agreements
- Management of associated compliance tasks
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Team player with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
- Able to take ownership and use initiative to resolve problems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Ability to deal effectively and establish rapport with people at all levels (clients, partners and staff).
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (outlook, word, powerpoint, excel, access)
- Professional appearance and manner
- Preferably ATT qualified with the desire to study for CTA qualification.
- Two to three years experience in a similar role.
- Ability to exercise appropriate level of judgement
