This leading financial services group seeks an Assistant Tax Manager to provide support to ensure the fulfilment of tax compliance and reporting obligations for specified companies and to provide analytical support.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure for designated companies that the tax compliance returns are appropriately drafted for review
- Analyse the tax position for designated companies to provide timely and accurate tax reporting
- Provide support for analysis of tax reporting.
- Support the provision of a proactive corporate tax advisory and planning service in respect of particular companies
- Provide the key source of tax advice for particular areas of the business and help to maintain the profile of Group Tax
- Develop self and contribute to team motivation
- Contribute to projects by providing analysis and expert advice and identifying the financial impact of proposed actions on relevant areas of the business
Skills And Experience:
- Qualified accountant, Inspector of Taxes, CTA or equivalent experience required
- Some relevant tax experience or significant accounting and systems knowledge required (experience of the life insurance industry desirable but NOT essential)
- Commercial/practical approach to the application of tax knowledge required
