KPMGВ’s International Executive Services (IES) practice offers a range of advisory and tax compliance services to multinational organisations as well as domestic entities. In China and Hong Kong, the team works with clients to solve individual income tax issues (both China and US tax) for expatriates and local employees alike.
KPMG are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consultant or Manager with US Tax experience for their IES practices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. You will have a chance to a part of a team, a city, and a cultural experience that is in the heart of ChinaВ’s economic growth. The successful candidate will be someone who is motivated by challenges and driven to acquire new skills.
Responsibilities will include:
В• Manage client expectations and delivery of services to expatriate employees
В• Manage and provide day to day advisory services to IES client programs
В• Work with the management team on proposals and business opportunities
В• Develop and maintain relationships with clients
В• Understand and review tax equalization and international assignment policies
В• Manage client fee arrangements
В• Coordinate and conduct periodic client meetings
В• Review tax returns and equalizations of expatriate employees
В• Conduct client specific tax technical training for staff
В• Manage resource allocation, workflow, and resource utilization
В• Serve as a main point of contact for the clients
В• Coordinate special projects
В• Supervise and mentor staff
The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior consultant / manager with:
В• 3 to 6 years of expatriate or individual tax experience
В• BachelorВ’s degree or above from an accredited college/university
В• Professional qualification in accounting, Enrolled Agent and/or attorney
В• Prior experience with US tax preferred
В• Fluency in both written and spoken English essential
В• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly recommended
