A fortune 100 global leader with significant operations in Africa, the company is now in a position to bolster tax operations in the African region. As the Tax Specialist for the French speaking African countries, you will work closely with the Head of Tax and support them in overseeing all tax aspects of the Groups expansion plans in Africa, in particular Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal. This will include businesses for sale and distribution, services delivery and international shared service centres.
In this role you will:
-Work within the European and worldwide tax functions, supporting major international M&A transactions and other tax strategic projects
-Pro-actively identify weaknesses in current processes and identify solutions to ensure that tax processes are in place and deliver the correct output
-Coordinate tax audits and the relationships with relevant tax authorities
-You will support the Head of Tax with the Corporate income tax, Withholding Tax and VAT compliance matters for the Groups entities in Africa
Ideally you will have proven experience from industry and have detailed knowledge of the complex nature of working in Africa. This also could be your first move into industry from one of the Practice firms; however, you need to be able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge coupled with strong commercial awareness.
