Our client is a market-leading, US multinational producing & marketing products worldwide.
The time is now right to appoint a highly-experienced VAT professional to join the Global Tax Planning team. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax Planning, based in the US, you will be responsible for managing VAT issues for business operations globally, implementing VAT planning strategies, assisting the M&A team on acquisitions & disposals and actively participating in major VAT audits worldwide. You will also be responsible for building & maintaining a positive working relationship with government authorities.
The plan is for you to recruit two additional VAT professionals, one in Latin America / South America and one in Asia Pac within 12 months.
To meet the challenge of this role, you will be a qualified VAT professional with a good understanding of multinational companies, be operating at VAT Director or Head / Deputy Head of VAT level, with significant pan-European or, ideally, global VAT planning experience, gained in a major accountancy firm or in-house. You must have proven project management skills, the ability to recruit, coach & lead a small, geographically-spread team and be a self-starter with entrepreneurial flair.
