Tax Operations forms part of the firm's Global Operations Division and has approximately 160 staff globally covering the Americas, Asia and EMEA regions of which 10 are located in London.
Tax Operations has responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the firm's compliance with tax reporting authorities in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia regions. The London team has responsibility for the firm's operational tax processes in EMEA, including interpretation of tax rules from an operational perspective and implementation, tax process change and improvements, and tax reporting across a wide range of traded financial products and business lines. The group also provide operational tax support for new business opportunities and emerging jurisdictions explored by different businesses of the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES
They are looking for an individual to coordinate and manage the new business initiatives for EMEA Tax Operations. Responsibilities include:
* Review proposals for new markets, new products, business reorganisations, system changes and new/changed regulations and assess impact on Tax Operations
* Work with Legal, Compliance, Technology and relevant Operations teams to develop process and technology solutions to these changes
* Act as a risk manager for the firm through ongoing assessment and awareness of the tax rules and its impact on operational processes
* Partner with the global team to streamline and harmonise current processes and procedures around core functions.
* Weekly and monthly management reporting
* Provide tax support to other operational teams
* Be able to contribute to other daily activities of the group where necessary
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
MANDATORY
* Minimum four years post graduate experience within Operations
* Minimum two years Tax experience
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Proactive and self starting individual with high level of ownership
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility and ability to learn quickly
* Ability to influence others and make decisions
QUALIFICATIONS
* Tax qualifications would be an advantage
