An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Tax Manager to join its global tax team and be based in Geneva. It is a tax-driven industrial manufacturer that offers fantastic long term career development. The position will look after two businesses & a group of countries that suit the level of experience of the successful candidate.
The primary responsibilities are tax planning, monitoring compliance and ensuring compatibility with US tax planning in what is a very complex tax structure, for a specific group of countries (to be decided). You will also support tax audits, manage a team of country tax managers, assist on transfer pricing and assure SOX compliance. Effectively you look after everything that has a cross border implication, leaving the more domestic tax work for the individual country tax managers.
This would suit a Senior Manager with 5 -10 years experience in a US multinational or a Big 4 firm in Europe. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. Cross border projects & strong transfer pricing experience is essential to be successful in this role. Familiarity with treasury & inter-company loans is important too. The salary is flexible; we are focused on getting the best person for the job, into this highly regarded tax team.
