Tax Assistant Manager job
This role will provide you with the opportunity to broaden your client experience and technical knowledge in both compliance and advisory. You will be develop technical skills and knowledge across a number of areas, with a particular emphasis on international corporate tax - as such you will be exposed to M&A, transfer pricing, property, tax depreciation, financing and international tax planning for a broad range of clients as well as some corporation tax compliance and tax audit work. You will also have the chance to become involved in proposals or targeting of key clients to generate new work.
You will have early client responsibility, being seen as an important member of client teams and encouraged to build client relationships to enable you to take a lead in some aspects of the Corporate Tax engagement. You will also be given the opportunity to manage a small number of your own Corporate Tax Compliance clients to develop your client relationships and engagement management skills.
About you
A successful candidate will:
- Be highly motivated
- Be currently under an ACA training contract or have completed ATT and be studying for CTA.
- Have experience of working within a UK corporate tax department
- Be interested in doing more international corporate tax work (some current experience is ideal but not a pre-requisite)
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have experience of assisting in developing and maintaining client relationships.
