Job Description
As the Tax Director, you will be responsible for:
Serving as a tax technical contact for the department and operations group
Researching and providing resolutions for tax and operational matters impacting tax
Overseeing the review of funds and provide consultation as needed
Overseeing and managing the entire tax reporting process including the timely and accurate delivery of all client deliverables
Ensuring the update and maintenance of departmental standards, operating manuals, internal and external reports
Overseeing coordination of tax estimates and year-end tax reporting
Ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained for all relevant tax matters by fund
Overseeing set up of new clients in the tax process
Communicating with clients as often as possible to ensure feedback from clients on all aspects of service provided
Ensuring Senior Vice President and Director are kept updated on developments within group
Recommending, prioritizing and overseeing the implementation of tax systems, work paper and workflow enhancements
Remaining informed of applicable tax changes and of industry developments
Required Skills
5+ years HF or PE tax experience/partnership compliance
Tax-Partnership, Tax-Compliance
Excellent written and verbal skills
