The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, collaborative, highly regarded, successful, 150 strong and growing Transfer Pricing practice and make your mark as a strong leader. Given the revenue opportunities in the local Chinese TP market, this role represents a genuine opportunity to be promoted to Partner within 1 -2 years.
The Challenge

In meeting this challenge, you will receive full support from Transfer Pricing leaders and the wider Tax practice in China.
Specific responsibilities include:-
- Driving growth by developing long term profitable relationships with high value clients
- Accountability for client relationship management with key teams, exercising appropriate risk management
- Negotiation of all business deals and pricing strategy
- Leading and managing the execution of TP tax engagements
- Building and developing a team of TP specialist tax professionals in a 'hands on' collaborative manner
Fundamental to success will be strong business development, talent development and client management skills. First class communication skills are a must, as is technical competence, inspirational leadership and an acute orientation to client service excellence.
The ideal candidate will be an Economist, with 8-12 years in the tax or transfer pricing arena. He or she will have a professional services background or served as an in-house specialist. ACA/CA/Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course/Law qualification/CTA (or equivalent), Economics PhD are all advantageous.
Proficiency in Mandarin is a pre-requisite for the role. Experience of working in China is advantageous, as is international experience in Transfer Pricing.
Ideal location is Beijing, but Shanghai may be an option.
