This group is one of the largest privately owned commodity trading groups, with three main trading areas. Due to a recent restructuring of their global tax team they are now actively recruiting for a new VAT specialist.
You will be reporting into their global Head of Indirect tax, but you will also be working closely with the global business units and their 50 strong finance function in London. The role requires you to ensure that all transactions are appropriately treated for VAT purposes and thus that there are no risks to losses. Key responsibilities of the role will be to provide Indirect Tax advice to staff, including responsibility for liaison with authorities and the management of Audits.
The successful candidate will need to have an accounting background with strong technical international VAT knowledge ideally gained in one of the Big 4 Firm or a multinational.
